COVID Support | DCM SHRIRAM

In 2020, DCM Shriram Ltd. set up a COVID-19 contingency fund, from which Rs. 10 Crore were donated to the PM CARES Fund as a contribution to support the Government’s mega efforts to handle this health emergency. The balance was committed for initiatives taken up under CSR to help communities in kind

We repurposed our factory in Kota and Bharuch to produce Sodium Hypochlorite, donated approximately 12 lakh liters of Sodium Hypochlorite collectively to Rajasthan, Gujarat, U.P, M.P and Delhi which was used for sanitization purposes.

The company has also been producing hand sanitizers in its two distilleries in Hariawan and Ajbapur in Uttar Pradesh. Approximately 10,000+ litres of the same has been donated to the communities, Community Health Centers and district administration.
We partnered with Tata Trusts for resource support to supply hand sanitizer and sodium hypochlorite for a period of six months, these resources were used in the government hospitals of Gonda and Noida which have been upgraded as COVID- 19 hospitals by Tata Trusts.
We also supported and donated Sodium Hypochlorite and Hand Sanitizer to Bharti Foundation for sanitization purposes in 164 schools run across 4 states by the foundation.

We have also part funded Gurugram Medeor, a not-for-profit hospital exclusively dedicated to treating COVID-19 that was set up in Gurugram.

Donated over 40,000 masks to Community Health Centers (CHCs) in UP made by the young girls/women of our Silai School (Vocational Skilling Program of DCM Shriram) and the families of our sugar unit employees.

To combat the spread of COVID-19, the company has ramped up its efforts in over 200 villages around its areas of operations through digital online messaging, thereby supporting the local administration in amplifying the efforts on prevention of the COVID -19.
The Company engaged its extensive network of stakeholders, including, local community representatives, NGO partners, ASHA workers etc to create awareness at mass level regarding COVID- 19 with a message of ‘stay home, stay safe and maintain social distancing’.

‘COVID-19 Control Rooms’, were been set-up to ensure that migrants are sensitized through Gram Pradhans, local ANMs and NGO partners.

The company also donated 1,000 COVID- 19 sampling kits, N95 masks, surgical gloves and masks to the Hardoi district COVID-19 control centers to help district administration control the pandemic.

The company launched a pilot, across all four sugar unit supported villages with a medical tele- consultation from doctors with the help of our VLWs (Village Level Workers). We are promoting Tele- consultation in 44 villages in Hardoi and Lakhimpur Districts as part of our Khushali Sehat program.

Partnered with Akshaya Patra Foundation and distributed over 1800 POSHAN kits to malnourished adolescents, lactating mothers and pregnant women.

The Company is installing 8 Oxygen Generations Plants with PSA (Pressure Swing Absorption) technology six in the District Hospitals of Bharuch and Ankleshwar in Gujarat and two in District Hospital at Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh with a capacity of 10m3/hr. Also a 20m3/hr Oxygen Generation Plant is being set up at CHC, Rohania, Rae Bareilly, UP.

DCM Shriram has also donated N95 masks, PPE kits and hand sanitizers across 12 government health centers in Bharuch, Gujarat.
DCM Shriram Ltd has repurposed its manufacturing facilities at Kota (Rajasthan) and Bharuch (Gujarat) to produce sodium hypochlorite which is being given to state governments/local administration of Gujarat, Rajasthan and UP for sanitization purposes.

100 Oxygen Concentrators have been handed over as resource support to the District Administration & Medical College of Kota, Rajasthan. Additionally, the Company is providing technical support in setting up the Oxygen Generation Plant at the Medical College, Kota.
10 Oxygen Concentrators has also been given as resource support in the CHCs of Hardoi & Lakhimpur Kheri

The Company has also begun mass awareness and mobilization for COVID-19 vaccinations across communities in Kota, Bharuch, Hardoi, and Lakhimpur Kheri districts. IEC material on Vaccine hesitancy is displayed in the villages and through digital means.
COVID Help Desk are established to facilitate the registration process on CoWin app.
